CHECK METHODOLOGY

Useful public signals. Clear limits.

This tool compares how a protected and unfiltered Quad9 DNS resolver answers for a public domain. It also requests a limited portion of the public HTTPS homepage, without following redirects or running scripts.

It looks for specific suspicious patterns, hidden iframes, off-site password forms and insecure script links. These are clues for a human review, not proof of malware.

Frequently asked questions

Does this scan my WordPress site for malware?

It checks a few externally visible signals. It is not a file-system malware scanner, antivirus product or full WordPress compromise investigation.

What does a DNS threat block mean?

It suggests Quad9’s security DNS policy considers the domain dangerous. It can be a false positive and is not proof that your site contains a particular malware sample. Validate with the provider and other evidence.

What if no warnings appear?

No warning is not a clean bill of health. Malware can be hidden from public views, served only to certain visitors, or absent from known feeds.

Does checking a domain change the website?

No. The tool reads public DNS and a bounded HTTPS homepage response. No site settings or files are modified.

How can I check the server and WordPress files?

With site-owner authorization, an investigation can inspect WordPress components, accounts, web server logs, modified files, backups and persistence mechanisms.
